Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use I'd never used plaster bandages before but they really are quite simple to use. They worked really well around a frame of chicken wire and Goaty McGoatface, a lifesize goat, is looking very fine now. Some basic measurements said I'd need 12 rolls to do three layers on a surface area of around 1 metre squared. I actually only used just under 11 but I'm glad I have the extra one in case I need to do any repairs. The bandages stuck to the frame easily and dried very quickly. I got three layers done in a weekend. Pro tip mix 1 part pva glue to 2 parts water for the final layer if you plan on painting your project. It makes it much easier to paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plaster of Paris Bandage - Modroc! I'm a professional artist working in a wide variety of mediums including clay and modroc. I've been using Plaster of Paris bandages or modroc for creating sculptures for years. They are messy to use but great fun and can be used by amateur artists or professionals alike. These bandages are good quality, easy to use and excellent value. I would advise to cut them into smaller sections, about 5 inch strips, soak them in water for a few minutes then apply directly to your sculpture/structure ensuring that you have rubbed them thoroughly to remove all the bandage 'holes' to create a smooth surface. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The product has been a great success... I bought these Plaster of Paris bandages for my partner. He is in the vulnerable category, as he is over 70 and not very well. he is just staying in at home, and has decided to take up sculpture and is making Extraordinary Chickens! He has created the 3-dimensional forms using chicken wire and covered it successfully with the bandages. He has cut out the feathers from white plastic containers, again using Hobbycraft plyers. I know it must be hard to imagine what these 'Chicken' sculptures must be like, but I think they are coming along really well. He wants to present them to the Extraordinary Chicken Society when they are finished. So far he is working on 3 different species of Extraordinary Chickens and is approximately halfway through the procedure...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use for multitude of crafts I bought this a few times now and always really impressed. I've bought it for my kids to use for crafts and so far they have made mini vases and halloween pits with it. Its so easy to use and manipulate into shapes etc to add detail and depth. It also dries really quickly. They have also.used it to cover their hands to make a mould to then turn into a jewellery stand for me. Most recently I bought it to use myself to make a pregnancy bump cast as a lovely keepsake, again was very easy to use and once initial cast made I used more to make it thicker and more sturdy. Really love this product and it is a fab price too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for small projects My daughter used this to make a small model of a horse for a school project. She started with a carboard 'armature' (frame) and built up layers of this. As it was a small project, she cut up the bandages to give greater detail. She could follow the instructions on the packet herself. I think it would be good to get some latex or cheap rubber gloves to use with this! Of course, for bigger projects, this is way too expensive, and getting bandages and plaster of paris separately is far more economical.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plaster of Paris moddeling roll I used this on a large scale to help me make a Dragon for Halloween.. This plaster bandge is wonderfully tacktile, it requires water to activate it and easy to mold into shape. For me it works best cut into lenghts, as it is easier to manage. You can use it to strenghen sections, attach new pieces to your model and build up sections. You need to be a little paitent and let it dry out at every stage, but it is worth the time taken. When finished it paints up nicely with acrylic paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product did just what I needed it to do. I bought this to build a hill for my model Railway. It worked really well and did what I needed. There are other products available but this was cheap enough to buy more than what I needed. So I have enough for further projects. Pleased with this purchase.
