* 200ml Vegetable Oil
* Candy Melts in Various Colours
* Piping Bag
* Parchment Paper
* Stirring Spoons
* Saucepan
* Non-Stick Baking Tin
Ingredients
(for making your own treats)
* 55g Butter or Margarine
* 160g Mini Marshmallows
* 190g Rice Crispy Cereal
How To Make
If you are making your own rice crispy treats, follow this method:
In large saucepan, melt the butter. Add in the marshmallows and stir until melted. Remove from heat and mix in the cereal. Press into prepared pan; insert cookie sticks. When cool to touch, remove from pan. Repeat with remaining cereal mixture. (If mixture becomes hard to work with, microwave at 50% power for 30-60 seconds to soften). Press into biscuit tin and leave to cool. When cooled, remove from the pan and cut into 6.35cm x 10cm rectangles.
Alternatively, use pre-made rice crispy treats.
To decorate:
Melt your chosen colour of candy melts according to package instructions. Once melted, add in a tablespoon at a time of vegetable oil until a soft dripping consistency is achieved.
Dip one end of each crispy treat into the melted candy melts. Set aside on some parchment paper and smooth the melted candy with a palette knife if necessary. Leave to cool fully.
Repeat with different colours until all of your rice crispy treats have been dipped in the candy melts.
Melt some more candy melts and use a disposable piping bag to pipe dots onto the crispy treat, then stick the candy eyeballs to the dots.
