Very tasty - but not great with egg-alternatives
I made this with an egg alternative as my friend, who the cake was for, is allergic to eggs. The taste was great, but the texture was not. I can only imagine that with real eggs it would be brilliant, but with the egg alternative my cake kept falling apart

Sorry but the taste didn't match the look of this cake.
High expectations of this cake were let down by the taste- looked exactly like the picture on the packet but not to our taste.

Wonderful produce
This cake was fantastic, moist ,full of flavour and simplicity it’s self to bake.
I had never baked a cake before and this was my first attempt ...... but not my last
My guests were singing my baking skills all afternoon
I never let on it wasn’t all my own work
But when they were leaving I told them it was a Betty Crocker cake. now there is a run on the cake mixes in my local shop:

If you want a moist soft cake mix, this is the one
This red velvet cake mix is by far the nicest cake mix I have ever had. It's so moist and sweet. The colour is pretty good also. You can always add red food dye to make the colour deeper if needs be. Everyone who has tried it has gone on to this cake mix. Personally if I am not doing my cakes from scratch, I always use this cake. I do not use the suggested buttercream or icing etc, I use white chocolate.

Betty Crocker cake mix and choc fudge topping
Cake was excellent, moist and light and plenty of it. Made my daughters birthday cake using both these products. Lots of compliments from everyone , she loved it and best of all really easy to make ! I'm a convert!

This product is the best!
The best red velvet cake to exist in a pre mixed package. Betty Crocker has never disappointed and most people who eat my cakes believe they are homemade. It is never dry or too sticky and the flavours are the perfect combination. My family and I always buy these for events such as birthdays and other events and always go down a treat.

Easy and fast, delicious and moist
Wanted to bake a cake for my girlfriend, but I'm no baker. Picked up this and the recommended icing tub, preparation was dead easy, then in the oven for 25 minutes.
End result was great, for almost zero effort. Keen to try the other variants when we're done eatting this one (you can easily get 12 slices out of it).
