Quality has decreased but price has increased!
I’ve always brought this yarn as it’s always been an ok alternative to wool shops when I’ve not had chance to go. However the quality has taken a serious decline recently the past three balls of this have been varied in thickness so it means some of it I had to recut and rejoin meaning I have loads more ends to sew in. Would be ok if it was cheap but I can buy emu dk for £2 at my local which is better quality than this. This also used to be £3.00 a ball and has gone up over christmas to 3.30 which soon adds up when your buying for bigger projects!!

Good basic yarn
I needed some basic acrylic yarn for a Christmas jumper I was knitting and couldn’t find any! I was sure that Hobbycraft would have some and I wasn’t disappointed. This yarn is soft and produced in a wide variety of colours it is suitable for any double knitting that you want to do at a very reasonable price.
Why didn’t I give 5 stars ? I prefer to knit with natural fibres or a wool, acrylic mix. However there is nothing wrong with this yarn if a good cheapish yarn is what you are looking for. I would buy again for a similar project.

Always find what I am looking for
Visit a Hobbycraft store regularly to find bits and bobs that I need or just to have a look around the store. Staff are friendly although sometime difficult to find, they are knowledgable and can normally help finding stuff. Always manage to find bits reduced which is really helpful particularly the Xmas sale, have been a few times already

Plum coloured Robins
I am disappointed with this colour. It is looks dark brown but when you see it in day light it is a dark plum colour and certainly not dark brown. I was caught out some time ago with this wool when my robins turned out to be plum coloured in a different light. I mentioned it to the sales assistant who agreed when she saw the colour outside the shop with me. I thought perhaps the dye had been changed, but unfortunately it hasn’t. Disappointed Evelyn.

Rich Colour and soft texture.
The wool was brought for the purpose of knitting a scarf and it's absolutely perfect. The colour is deep and rich which is great. There has been no fraying or thinness so far showing the quality is amazing, especially given the price. This is my go to brand when I am starting a new project and I will continue to use and recommend in the future.
