Annoyed at the pegboard
The product itself is fine it contains what you'd expect (Hama beads and a board) but the board itself wasn't what I expected. My daughter asked for a mermaid board and a princess one. I bought this set and a separate princess board. When opened I discovered not a mermaid board but a princess one with instructions on how to make a mermaid. While I appreciate the extra scope the board gives it would have been handy to have a small mention on the outside of the packet about it.

Fab for tiny hands!
The kids loved this during half term. They created their own mermaids and mermen and then spent hours playing and filming their own small merm movie! Would be easier if tweezers were also in the kit as it is a tad tricky to position the tiny pieces individually, but I'm a grown up so as this item is intended for little people, and little prole have little nimble fingers, then yes they should be able to use this with ease!!! But great for all ages I think.

This is not really a mermaid kit
Bought this for a birthday party activity.....it doesn’t have a mermaid baseplate inside, nor does it have a parrot/bird NOR a fish shape to guide you.....it is a Princess baseplate with a lot of Hama beads. To be fair it does show this on one side of the packaging, but it was not that clear when I was buying it in the shop. As a result, no one made anything mermaidy at the party...just a princess. The pictures and text on the front are misleading.

Hama beads
My granddaughter was so excited about the mermaid set. We took ages placing all the beads but it didn't iron well. I had to go over it and over it and eventually some stuck together while the rest were still loose. And it made the bottom of the iron sticky. Not impressed!!!

Great product for all ages
My 19 year old daughter and 4 year old granddaughter had great fun with this. Much morevesatile now you have a bigger template too.

Love Hama Beads
My granddaughter loves the designs she can make with Hama beads.They're a little fiddly but at 7 years old she manages them very well.
