Seamless Instructions: (worked in the round)Step-1

Cast on 69 sts using the long-tail cast on technique. Join your stitches in the round, taking care not to twist the cast on edge.

Step-2

K1, *p1, k1. Rep from * to the end of the round. P1, *k1, p1. Rep from * to the end of the round. These 2 rounds form seed stitch. Work in seed stitch until your work measures 75cm from the cast on edge (approximately 83 rounds.)

Step-3

Cast off your stitches, and cut the yarn.

Step-4

Thread your sewing needle with a length of yarn, and using the invisible horizontal seam technique, seam the bottom of your sack closed. Weave in any yarn ends.

Seamed Instructions (worked flat)Step-1

Cast on 36 sts using the long-tail cast on technique. *K1, p1. Rep from * to the end of the row. *P1, k1. Rep from * to the end of the row. These 2 rows form seed stitch. Work in seed stitch until your work measures 150cm from the cast on edge (approximately 166 rows.)

Step-2

Cast off your stitches, and cut the yarn. Fold your sack in half, and bring the cast on edge in line with the cast off edge. Thread your sewing needle with a length of yarn, and seam up the sides of your sack using the invisible vertical seam technique.

Step-3

Weave in any yarn ends.

Pompoms & Cord: Step-1

Take your 45mm Pompom maker, and make 2 pompoms according to the instructions.

Step-2

To make your cord: cut a length of yarn 10m long, and loop it around a doorknob (or get a friend to hold the other end!)

Step-3

Stand back, holding the yarn taught. Tie a knot in the ends of the yarn, and twist the yarn in one direction until it cannot twist any more.

Step-4

Carefully walk towards the looped end of your cord, keeping the cord taut as you do this to prevent it twisting back on itself. Grab both the knotted end and looped end and tie these in a knot, and then let the cord twist on itself. It might need a little straightening out to remove any kinks.

Step-5

Attach one pompom to one end of your cord, and then thread the other end in and out at the top of your sack, approximately 10cm from the open edge to make a drawstring effect. Once you get back to the beginning, attach the other pompom to the end of your cord.

Overall you will need 5-6 balls of 200g yarn to make this to the stated size of 60cm x 75cm. Very misleading pattern for beginners.
