Disappointed ☹️
Very disappointed with some of these inks. Used to use them years ago and remember the colours being very vivid. The ones that I have just bought are nowhere near as good. Some colours such as the Canary Yellow is a muggy cream colour, whereas the Burnt Sienna is a pinky red, and nothing like the colour shown on the Winsor and Newton’s website. These lack vibrancy and are poorly represented by their colour charts.
I am wondering these were a bad batch because I certainly expected better from this brand.

Watery red
Bought some today, very disappointed - the colour is a watery red, even after thoroughly shaking and stirring. Nothing like proper burnt sienna. I thought it had been mislabelled but looking at other reviews it seems this is normal. Won’t be buying it again.

Perfect ink
As an artist I’ve used a lot of different paints and inks but this brand are the best and the names tell you exactly what colour you’re going to get. They also go so far when using so you don’t run out quickly. Definitely something I’ll be buying again.

Dreadful colour matching - disappointing
Struggling with Windsor and Newton inks as the colours are often nothing like those shown on the box. Burnt Sienna came out a shade of pink. Very little difference between Apple, Emerald and Viridian they all came out a shade of turquoise blue

Great value ink
Good pigmentation, even coverage: Exactly what you'd expect from a specialist like Winsor & Newton. I'm actually using it as pigment in ink washes for miniature painting, and it works very well for this.

Great colour for landscapes
I love Winsor and Newton inks to use as an under painting for my pastels. This colour is always the first to run out!

Water colour ink
Tried this ink on water colour painting, wet on wet to give a back ground behind nettles and under growth, good buy
