Gel colours rock
So I originally wanted black to make cosmic style icing, but it wasn’t in stock at the time, so I purchased it when I saw it back in.
The gel colours are definitely more outstanding than the cheap liquid dye you buy in supermarkets.
I have used this brand and Colour splash a few times now for rainbow cakes, space cakes and different icing colours.
Always very vibrant and I learnt a trick a while back online … if you stir in your colour and leave it a while, it becomes more vibrant.
Just remember the colour will depend on the cake or icing recipe… If you want a true colour you need the white-est icing, cake batter etc, or the colours can be slightly off.

It's a good intensity, once you've added the colour, leave it for a bit and the colour will deepen, so you'll need a bit less than you think!

Overall ok but a little disappointed with the outcome
Used it to colour my buttercream as l had a disaster with covering my cake with icing. I needed black but unfortunately the darkest l could get it without having to use a tonne of the stuff was grey!

A bit greyish
This product was okay I felt it was rather thick for a food colouring and was expecting it to be a lot more liquid based . Also we used quite a bit in a cake we made and it came out more of a brown that a grey and then the icing we used it again and although it was a nice colour it deffinetly wasn’t black .

Good pigmentation
I swear by only Wilton when it comes to food colours. But these turned out just as good! The pigmentation is strong and i would buy again!

I wanted to make a really black piping icing, and this was great only needed a little to get a proper black not grey.

Mixes very well to buttercream but doesn't go black more a dark grey
