Smashed jars
Jars arrived with several smashed in each box. Hobbycraft sent out a new set. They also arrived smashed. At that point I was told that I could have a refund on the individual smashed jars (about 9), but not on the full lot, despite being sold as a multipack of 24 and not as individual jars. In order to get a refund on the entire smashed set of jars, I need to travel an hour to my nearest hobbycraft and physically carry the box full of broken glass into the store. Not best impressed really.

A good product - but lids not sealing an issue.
Okay in the main, but there were several jars that didn't seal, the lids wouldn't lock shut - this is dangerous - as it increases the risk of nasty pathogens growing in jars - esp. low sugar/acid preserves (e.g. cranberry sauce, which I water bath at 100oC just to make sure it is safe to store). As I do sell to the public at fairs (jams, marmalades and chutneys) and similar, I can't risk public safety (nor that of family and friends) - so I might look elsewhere for a more reliable product.

Wouldn’t buy these again
Unfortunately I won’t be buying these again as I had bought them to put jams and chutneys in and at least 6 of the 12 cracked when I sterilised them or the pickling liquor ran out when I poured it in. There appeared to be a flaw in the glass.

Good quality jars
I'm very pleased with these jars even though the size was not quite what I needed. Neither one of the lids failed. Brilliant! Worked out cheaper than other stores.

Are these jars suitable to hold liquid(fresh apple juice)in a freezer safely?
We would not recommend freezing glass jars as expanding contents will cause them to break.
