My new favourite watercolour pencils
I used the new 36pk of Shore and Marsh Watercolour Pencils on Bristol Board, finishing the artwork with a 1M white Posca pen. I used them to create a beach scene.
They worked really well! They were easy to use and super blendable. The only downside is that there aren’t many darker colours, but as they are so easy to blend with each other, you can mix them with the black / brown to create the darker colours.
• Great range of colours, including 2 metallics.
• Very highly pigmented.
• Buildable, you can add layers which gives more intensity.
• The 36pk of pencils have more colours than most as other brands tend to have 24 packs, maximum.
• Good price point.

Watercolour pencils
Good mix of colours in the 36 size box. They blend well and are useful for card making.
The only negative is the tin is hard to open for arthritic hands.
