So easy to use
My beautiful clock stopped working and I didn’t want to chuck it out. The Hobbycraft clock mechanism was easy to use and not only saved a much loved item but has enabled my husband to claim he is a clock repairer and master craftsman. Win-win

Time for a new clock
The first problem I had was the hour hand wouldn’t fit. After resolving this issue and fitting a brand new battery, it kept the correct time for about 3 days. Then I noticed it was loosing time. Hence the 1 star rating.

Perfect!
Very easy to assemble. Used to replace an old mechanism. I would say it is perfect because of this and keeps good time as well. Plus it is relatively inexpensive. Certainly when you compare with a brand new clock.

Not a perfect fit, but did the job
I bought this to repair an existing clock. I had to widen the holes in the original arms to get them to fit. My clock did not have a second hand but second hand was required to make the clock face look finished, so I trimmed the arm off. It worked, but I'd have been happier if the mods weren't necessary.

Setting up situation
Setting up was not straight forward as nothing explained the pressure needed to attach the hands. I had to omit the washer which prevents rotating of the whole clock. I am using a glue gun to prevent that.

Useful item
Bought to replace defunct mechanism in garden clock. Item now working again. Saved the cost of a new clock and saved the planet by repairing not replacing. What's not to like?

I’ve built my clock and it looks great! Problem is that the second hand moves but the minute & hour hands don’t. Is there a solution for this?
Thanks for your replies.
I took the clock apart and tested it without the face and with some very forceful pushing of the hands onto the spindle it does work!
I guess I was being too light with it but I was concerned about bending the hands :(
All good now and again, thanks for the help :)
