Step 1

Decide what finish you would like the resin succulents to have; for a clear finish you will just need the resin, if you want to make coloured resin, you'll need fluid pigments, or you can use gold flakes, or something like dried flowers in with the resin too.

Step 2

Mix up your resin according to the quantities guide in the box, stirring slowly and continuously until the mixture goes crystal clear and then add a drop of your pigment in to make the resin coloured, mix again. Mixing the resin sufficiently is key to it setting.

Step 3

If you want to create a mixture of effects pour your resin into different pots; in this first pot we've added some green pigment, a couple of drops will create a bold colour, again mix until you have a consistent colour and pour into the mould.

Step 4

For the gold fleck effect, we poured the clear resin into the mould and then added the gold flakes on top, gently pressing them into the resin. Adding the flakes into the resin at this stage, will help to avoid them getting damaged when mixing and pouring the resin.

Tip: Use a paintbrush to gently press the flakes into the resin.

Step 5

Leave the resin to set overnight; you will know once the resin has set as it will come out cleanily and easily from the mould.

We would advise leaving the resin for at least 24 hours to ensure everything has completely set.

Step 6

Your resin succulents are then ready to adorn your house! Use them as paper weights, secure magnets to the back and add them to your fridge, or why not add them inside box frames.
