How to make

Step 1

Open a word document and type out your pet's name in a cursive font. I used the font Autery which can be found on most font websites.

Resize the name;the size chosen will depend on the length of the name. The name 'Luna' was in font size 150.

Once you are happy, print the design and transfer on to Magic Paper using a pencil.

Step 2

Place the Magic Paper onto to the stocking and secure with a 6 inch embroidery hoop.

Step 3

Take your green thread, cut a length and then divide the thread so that you have two sets of three strands.

Step 4

Stitch the wide part of the letters using satin stitch; for the thinner cursive parts, stitch using split stitch.

Continue stitching until you have completed the name.

Step 5

Remove the embroidery hoop and wash away the Magic Paper and leave to dry.

Step 6
Your stocking is them complete and ready to be hung.
