How to make

Step-1

Paint the advent calendar with the red chalky paint. Make sure that you leave the doors open as the paint dries. You will need to do a couple of coats and paint inside and out.

Step-2

Paint the roof and the door handles white. You may need to do several coats.

Step-3

Use a white pencil to draw your designs on to your calendar.

Step-4

Using a small brush, paint the more inaccessible parts of the calendar first. You may need to do several layers.

Step-5

Using a white outliner tube, draw the numbers onto the doors.

Step-6

Varnish the advent calendar with Mod Podge. Don't worry if it looks milky when it is wet – it dries clear.

Step-7

Add silver detail using a Cerne outliner.
