How to make

Step 1

Cut one of the tubes in half widthways and discard one half.

Step 2

Squash the half tube in the middle as shown and paint red. Leave to dry.

Step 3

Measure and divide one of the tubes into six equal parts. Wrap red wool around the first section, securing with a line of glue at the back. Work your way through the colours of the rainbow to cover the tube. Repeat for the other tube.

Step 4

Glue the shorter red tube between the 2 rainbow tubes, roughly 1cm from one end.

Step 5

Glue small rainbow coloured pom poms at the other end of the binoculars.

Step 6

Use a pair of scissors to make a small hole about 1cm down from the top on each of the outer sides of the tubes. Cut a length of ribbon measuring about 70cm. Push a paper fastener through the end of the ribbon, then through the binoculars. Open the pin out to secure. Repeat for the other side.
