Great think chunky wool!
I have never knitted anything before (other than knitting row upon row whilst sat on my nan's arm of her armchair as a young girl) & didn't really have much of an interest in knitting as it never came to much. I received a promotional email from Hobbycraft about these beautiful new chunky knit yarns in stock that were now in store so I thought I'd go in and have a look. I'm now hooked!!! The wool is a gorgeous cherry red & is really easy to knit with. Its also very warm & can get quite heavy on your needles if your knitting a lot. I'm making a blanket for my son & will be visiting again for some more & will hopefully take on a proper 'project!!

Excellent quality
I ordered super chunky yarn and it came to me well protected and quite fast! The yarn is so soft and I'm currently making a blanket out of it, plus the 3 for £10 deal makes this experience I've had with hobby craft even better. Have never had a bad experience. Brilliant!

Great wool wrong colour
I ordered this online in ruby, expecting a bright 'true' red as seen in the picture. Unfortunately what I got was a deep pink - I'd have said raspberry instead of ruby! It was promptly returned, but such a shame as the wool itself was super soft and looked like it would have knit up beautifully. I will definitely be buying this again when the range of colours improves, but shall be purchasing in-store from now on!

Beautiful beginner yarn
As an absolute beginner, having never touched wool before i was able to learn and knit a beautiful scarf with this yarn. It was very easy to work with, sometimes a loose fray here or there but as i said absolutely my first time knitting. Its a soft wool, and after 4 bundles makes a good heavy scarf. I irritate easily and the yarn hasn’t irritated me at all other than being fluffy but thats whats expected.
I love this yarn and love the ease with 10mm bamboo needles for my project. I really believe it had a hand in assisting my progression

Fabulous
Taught myself to crochet 2 days ago. 1st day I practiced 3-4 times with same ball. The following day I purchased 5 more. On my 4th ball already! And a 12mm needle. This is very good yarn & a good needle that doesn't bend (so I have been told about other needles). I'm happy with it, very much recommeded & an affordable price - with great deals when you join!

NOT SUPER CHUNKY
This wool is much thicker than other super chunky wools sold by other brands (even ones stocked at Hobbycraft) it really should have another category of thickness as it is misleading.
Because of this it didn't knit up to the correct size for my pattern (it was almost double) so I had to return to get another brand. They were very happy to accept my return.
The colours and feel of the wool are lovely however, so if not following a pattern or very good at adapting patterns, would recommend based on that only!

Easy to work with.
Amazing lovely yarn, I would definitely recommend buying it and the colour is vibrant, it really pops out at you. I bought 2 which made a medium size scraf, 11 stitches across with 10mm knitting needles made it look very chunky.

Love it!
I absolutely love this wool! Please keep it in stock! I wouldn’t be without it! The colours are fab but would love to see more introduced too! But don’t get rid of the original colours as I love them!
