Day light robbery!
Hobby craft can you please explain why your price for this printer is £200 more than other retailers ? I purchased this printer and was horrified i had paid £200 more! Thank god my printer became faulty ink poorer out from the bottom of printer and gone all over my carpet and I was able to return it for a full refund and purchase it else were and now I have £200 towards a new carpet

How much?!
I was considering getting one of these but I won’t be buying it from Hobbycraft. They retail it at £545, which is over £200 more than most other retailers. I’m not sure how they can justify this.

Preferred to converted epson
Having been a sublimation user for 4 years, I have always used epson converted printers from leading sublimation retailers.
As much as I was happy with the results I was getting, in comparison to now using a sawgrass, I would sway to this brand now.
It wasn’t a problem setting up on my windows. There’s a lot of video walkthroughs on sawgrass website. Also option to arrange a free one to one video call for setting up.
There is sawgrass design software, however I use photoshop. I just export my file to a sawgrass folder on desktop and instantly print settings appear, ready for me to start printing. Printer settings are already preset for you dependant on your substrate, for example you can just select polyester, metal, ceramic etc and it will apply the correct settings to suit.
My printouts have been really vibrant and colour quality has been better in comparison to my epsons.
Only downside is the cost of inks and paper, but from other user opinions the ink really does last, even when it’s at its last few percent.

Good new project
Excellent machine for sublimation. Good instructions with tutorial. Easy to set up. Need to concentrate as a bit more involved than some machines. My first project was putting a photo on a mug what was fairly easy with the instructions.

Great but expensive
Love it! Love it! Love it! Chunky machine but not too heavy. Quality of print is amazing. Just a shame it and everything you need for it (ink etc) are so pricey. Still glad I bought it though.
