Excellent stuff
This is by far the best food colouring I have used. The only downside to using red is that you always need quite a lot to get a rich colour, but that isn't the fault of the gel, just the colour red, so no stars lost for that. It being no taste as well is a bonus, I detest the flavour of red fondant! It's like some artificial raspberry flavour, I would rather mix my own up and actually enjoy what I'm eating!

Not a true red at all
Bought this as my grandsons favourite colour is red and this one said no after taste etc..
however, on colouring the icing for his cake, it started off light pink then a dark pink, so not what we wanted at all, not saying there's no after taste (which you do get with some colourings) but had to go into emergency measures to rescue the cake, luckily, chocolate is his other favourite. So the pink was abandoned, (well actually reused in something else, waste not want not).

These colouring pots are AMAZING you don't need a lot to make beautiful vibrant colours I absolutely love them and with a little soap and water they dont stain your hands either 100% thumbs up.

Excellent colour
The gel red food colouring is good quality. A small amount can be added to icing or cake mixture using a cocktail stick or the tip of a knife. A small amount creates pink icing, and more creates red.

Beautiful red colour, very vibrant. Can easily get a red colour if used correctly as buttercream is difficult to get red. I bought this for a red velvet cake an had to use quite a lot of it

Colour intensity
You need to use a lot if you want an intense red buttercream. I make my buttercream in and that helps the colour to settle
