Does the kit include everything needed to make the finished product? Paints, glue etc?

No, it tells you on the box all the additional paints etc you will need. I bought this as a gift for someone and spent ££'s more making sure they had enough to make it fully. However, if someone was doing these regularly then you'd probably have some colours already.
