Perfect for the price
It's cheap. It sharpens pencils. Buy this if you need to sharpen pencils, cheaply.
[I will say, though, there were no other choices in-store; all the other racks that should offer other kinds of sharpeners were empty, so I might not have bought this had there been any choice at all].
My only concern here is the packaging: in environmental terms do these really need to be put into plastic blister packs attached to a card? Sure, both materials can be recycled, but think of the manufacturing processes involved. When I was a lad products like this would simply be sold 'loose' with a little price sticker applied and we got by perfectly well with that! That will teach me to lose my sharpener from when I was a boy and need a new one!

Makes pencils pointy
Bought this pencil sharpener to sharpen the pencils which i also purchased at the same time because i had lost my other pencil sharpener. However, i have since misplaced this pencil sharpener and will be requiring to buy another. Oh cruel fate and blunt carbon scribes, i rue my absent minded misgivings.

Ok not good for pastels though
It’s a sharpener works for graphite pencils but not so good for soft pastel pencils.
