Rated 2 out of 5 by Littlepidgey from Nice idea but poorly executed While I do like the design of these, they have a major flaw in my opinion and I think Hobbycraft should look into amending these. I wouldn’t recommend these as, despite being cute and working well the back of them is literally just a loose magnet. I can’t help but feel this is a disaster waiting to happen for anyone with children or animals who could potentially swallow it. To make these perfect I think they just need the opposing magnet on the back to be attached to something- whether that be a matching shape to the front design, or even just a square or circle of wood, just to make it that little bit safer. I guess this could be overcome by the buyer of they wanted to sew a little fabric pocket perhaps for the loose magnet, i’m not sure how much that would affect the strength of it thougg

Rated 4 out of 5 by Orchid Lady from Handy accessory These are a very good accessory for embroidery and keep your needle secure when you have set your work aside. Nice strong magnet and because you only have a magnet either side of your work they will not leave a mark. I was looking to buy some of the colourful enamel ones but unfortunately could not find any. These are attractive, my only complaint would be perhaps they are a little bit big.
