Great - fabric doesn’t budge
I finally took up punch-needle embroidery having been bought a needle as a gift, and after really struggling with the fabric slipping and moving in the normal wooden hoop I was using and getting very frustrated too, I looked up what I could do.
This hoop is absolutely fantastic. The base fabric doesn’t budge and it’s really easy to tighten and loosen too, for when you do need to move your fabric. It’s meant I can really get to grips with the craft, and fall in love with it!

An excellent, practical hoop
An excellent hoop for my cross stitch. It makes the craft much easier and quicker than just holding the fabric in my hands, which was what I was doing before I bought a hoop. This hoop has a ridge around the circumference of the inner hoop and a slot inside the circumference of the outer hoop which combine to hold the fabric really tightly. There’s a knack to getting the fabric really taut but once you know how it’s quick and easy to do. I’ve never tried a normal wooden hoop but I’m sure that this hoop performs better.

this hoop is brilliant - i usually use wooden hoops but i would find they came undone or fabric would slip, however with this one it grips onto whatever fabric you’re working with without stretching

Excellent hoop!
My bamboo hoops for cross stitching now about 40 years old have, like me, got old and stiff! Fed up struggling with them so bought this hoop, what a well designed piece of kit, holds the fabric firmly, easy to attach once you get used to it, lovely larger easy screw fastener for my old fingers, smooth and comfortable to hold. Thoroughly recommend this item. Also impressed by your website saying how many were in stock at my local shop, have been waiting for this size hoop to come in, checked.online it said 3 in stock got straight to the shop and there were 3 there. Not long after l got home looked again online and it now correctly said 2 in stock, so now know l can trust this information. Thank you Hobbycraft!

I bought this hoop to help stabilise my cross stitch project and it's excellent. Cheap but effective at keeping the fabric taught and still.
