Good value and can go buy straight away
Hobbycraft the only high street store I could get brass nails, oddly none of the DIY stores sell them. Better price than I found online too.
Good quantity of nails and good quality. 1.6mm diameter (may be good idea if that was added to the online description as it may matter to some). I actually used them as rivets rather than nails and they did that job perfectly.

Brass is best
Brass is less susceptible to salt water so useful for any models likely to be in that environment. Also useful if your housew floods with seawater - at least you'll have a few pins left that have not rusted!
