Just the right size
I made some spiced apple chutney and I was going to just use the foment of jars I had in the kitchen but then I had a great idea the chutney needed to go in a dark place for a few months before you could eat it which takes us to Xmas what brilliant presents so these jars look professional I made round mop tops and wrapped string around and then labels. They look great and given with 2 different seasonal cheeses and some crackers what a different and thought of present to give.

Love these jars!
Lovely jars for crafting. They’re a great size and very strong. They aren’t suitable for anything above 100 degrees, but they’re good for lots of other crafts and projects

Excellent product, excellent value!
We needed jam jars a.s.a.p which we would normally buy from a well known, high street shop beginning with a 'W' which were £1.50 cheaper for the same number of Jars. We noticed that they had started charging for Click and Collect (!) and had very few available anywhere so we did a Google search and found these!
Not only are they in better sizes/volumes, they are much more readily available and the Customer Service is excellent. We both messaged to ask about exact heights and called to reserve them without problem, everyone bent over backwards to help us. So, we saved 50p and discovered Hobbycraft's best kept secret!
The jars themselves are sturdy, generously sized and are equal. The gold lids supplied don't have a popper on the top so check for a very slightly concave (bowing inwards) after the jars are processed in either a waterbath or pressure canner. The distance from the body to the threads is perfect for squeezing the last bit of liquid in whilst keeping the necessary clearance and when sanitised, lids stood up very well to boiling.
Everything sealed perfectly first process and we're very pleased!
The only thing to note about these jars is that the lids need a really good tighten once the jars are filled - no finger tightening here! This is a plus in our book as it ensures a tighter seal. No breakages at all.
We highly recommend these jars and promise to be back if we need more!

These are jars.
they worked.
they now have jam in.
they did not turn into spaceships, so not the best jars in the world!!!
but they equaly did not turn into a giant death robot! so not the worst jars in the world.
the only consivable issue for glass jars i picked out in person Is how well the thread worked on the lid.
i am happy to report it did! ..... work that is!
