Good quality cheap acrylic paints.
Hobby craft acrylic paints are similar in body to the graduate paints. I use a mixture of paints and find this paint is useful for mixing and painting delicate areas.

Took me a little while to find instore
I bought this to paint gas pipes in kitchen, our tiles are cream and the pipes copper. I didn't use undercoat, just painted them with this acrylic. Pipes are no longer an eyesore. Covered perfectly.
