The Cricut Joy Xtra can cut up to A4 size, perfect for using the print then cut feature. The Xtra offers a larger cutting area than the original Cricut Joy, while the Cricut Explore can cut up to 12 x 12 inches.
The Explore has a faster cutting speed and can be used with a broader range of materials. Both Joy machines cut over 50 materials, while the Cricut Explore cuts over 100 different materials.

Great upgrade on the Joy and an excellent cutter
Great little machine and a major upgrade from the Joy. I use them both as a back up to my Cricut Maker 3, but the Xtra really stands up to the task for A4 projects and print & cut projects. I am more likely to use the Xtra if I dont need the size of the Maker 3. The original joy is still used for labels and small projects. Comes with a nice assortment of material to get you going, but the A4 is a real bonus.
Only downside is that the mat seems to get caught and fold at the corners a fair bit.

Great little machine
Bought this machine yesterday. What swung it for me was the added feature of print then cut. I now have this machine downstairs close to my printer which saves having to go up and down stairs when using my maker machine.
I did some swimming stickers for my 5 year old grandson. I'm sure he will love them!!

Cricut joy extra. I am so happy with this machine.
I bought this on the release day and just loving it. Its bigger than the joy( which i can't fault in any way) easy to use and opens up endless possibilities. Would love a cricut maker3 but out of my price range.

Great Size, Easy to Use
This is a great machine, it doesn't take too much space but the A4 cutting width really gives you scope for projects.
The machine and design space app are easy to set up and easy to use. The Smart vinyl works well with the device

Disappointing
Sooo disappointed,after unboxing and setting up couldn't wait to get started.first cut as per instructions worked.then when my first project was prepared for cutting, Blue tooth failed ,and again and again! Next try it worked,for one cut,then stopped.i followed all the troubleshooting instructions but it just fails time and again ,I walked away,next day I actually completed a project but it stopped in the middle of a cut
Which is hard to get out of as the Bluetooth has gone again .And it's a waste of expensive materials.this machine really needs to work some other way. I really would like to have my money back £250 is a lot to spend on a failure.

Love this new compact but mighty machine. Does so much but in a compact machine, love he pint and cut feature, have not used my maker since I purchased this machine. It has pride of place on my desk.
