Which tools and blades work with the Cricut Maker 5?

Premium fine-point blade, deep-point blade, bonded-fabric blade, knife blade, foil transfer tool, pens and markers, scoring tool, scoring wheels (single and double), rotary blade, wavy blade, engraving tip, debossing tip, perforation blade.

What are Smart Materials?

These craft materials work without a cutting mat, so you can just load the material directly into the machine. Smart Materials come in a variety of material types, including Smart Vinyl, Smart Iron-On and Smart Paper Sticker Cardstock.

When will I need to replace the blades?

Blade replacement depends on how much you use your Cricut machine and which materials you choose. They are designed to last well, but replacement blades are easily available for when you do require a new one.

Can I use other brands of vinyl or iron-on with this machine?

You can use other brands of materials, but you will need to place them on a cutting mat. Cricut materials have been tested with all Cricut machines to know the exact pressure required for the cut. They are also clearly identifiable on the list of materials you choose from when cutting.
