Daler-Rowney Graduate Gesso Primer 1 Litre

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good product but poor stock levels The art products are good in general and priced competitvley, however the stock levels are awful and getting less and less! you used to stock a really good range of artist materials but now it is dismal, frankly not enough to draw me back much longer sadly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Quality This gesso is good quality for the price, and is exactly what I need for providing a surface for acrylic paint to adhere to when making props for theatre shows. Mixed with PVA it provides the perfect undercoat on elements made from papier mache.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality & packaging Used the gesso to coat lightly sanded plywood and the result was a good, even coverage. It's supplied in a rectangular tub so a wide brush or roller can be used without pouring into another container. Can't see how this Daler gesso could be bettered. Great quality, well thought out packaging and half the price of an equivalent product from a different brand, which came in a bottle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Primer that goes a long way Being a complete newby, I had never heard of Gesso. I used this product to cover a cardboard house that had been paper-mached. I mixed a couple spoonfuls with water to a soup consistency; I've read that you don't have to do this, although i found that doing this made a little go a long way. The coats went on easily and dried very quickly. I have plenty leftover for other projects.
