Daler-Rowney System3 White Gesso Primer is a great value formulation for priming your art surfaces for acrylic and oil painting. Highly adhesive, it is ideal for directly sealing all semi-absorbent surfaces before applying colour.
This primer is suitable for large-scale applications. The gesso primer will ensure that your paint does not soak into the surface and leave a patchy image. It dries quickly to produce a matt white surface with a slight tooth that can be easily sanded for highly detailed work.

Fabulous quality
I have been using this as a primer on paper for acrylic paint, it goes on exceptionally well with great coverage. Just as good as much more expensive products. Paint goes on top well and no leaching through on to the paper so I don’t get warping. Excellent product and will buy again.

very easy to use and clean up.
I haven't used this Gesso before - it was easy to apply and it makes a great ground for all mediums - pencil, watercolour, oil and acrylic.

Excellent place
Hobbycraft is am amazing and wonderfully unexpected place.

Gesso sold is good quality.
Easy to apply and good finish. Having to do up to 9 coats on an old rocking horse it did not get claggy.
