In a moment of whimsy, I decided to embroider sunflowers around the buttonholes of a rather drab green linen dress. I started well but it soon became evident that I would be running short of my yellow threads. To complicate matters, I had used two different shades of yellowy orange or orangey yellow. A quick visit to the embroidery thread stand in Hobbycraft and the problem is solved. Onward with the sunflowers. . . .and I must admit they are very pretty and they brighten up the dress remarkably.

Just the right colour
I had run out of this colour part way through a design based on a very old chart a neighbour had passed on to me along with some threads and was delighted that there was so much choice in the store I could easily match the correct colour to complete the work. Thank you!
