can it be used on crafts that will be displayed outside

Asked by: Kinsie
I assume so as resin particularly epoxy gets hardened into plastic like acrylics using the 2 parts mixture so as long the hardener doesn't get mixed in the the other mixture it will not hardened. Whereas, other resins (like the one hardened over uv lamp) hardened within minutes of direct sunlight. I hope this is what you meant? Either way it's essentially plastic when it hardens. The resin should be water resistant but it is not always scratch proof. I don't know if the colours will fade either. 🤷‍♀️ People use it to make coasters, table tops... so I assume so.

How many moulds would this amount fill? Standard coaster size moulds.

Asked by: Nisee
Not knowing how much liquid your moulds take it is difficult to answer. You could just a measuring jug of water to fill the mould to work out how much they hold.

is this food safe?

Asked by: Cath130426
Epoxy resin is only food safe if prepared correctly and fully cured, otherwise it is highly toxic. We would not recommend using it for items coming into contact with food and you should never heat it.

Can I use this on some wedding flowers to preserve them?

Asked by: Goose97
The problem with using resin on flowers is that they will still rot within the resin. If you can dry the flowers first then they will preserve better, but this will then change the look of the flowers.
