Major flaw, unfortunately.
I bought several of these for my grandchildren and tested one out before gifting them. Good job I did. They're lovely little things and work really well apart from one thing - it's almost impossible to get the wool down into the dolly!
The tube is so roughly cut that wool just sticks to it like velcro. It took me ten minutes, a large darning needle and a pair of tweezers to thread the yarn through.
Because it's so rough, the work comes out fuzzy after catching on the interior.
It's a real shame that the same care and attention afforded the rest of the item wasn't extended to the inside of the dolly. I'm going to try sanding it smooth with a tube of sandpaper - hopefully it will improve it.

Poor Quality-Avoid
What a load of rubbish. Still what did I expect at the price. The finish is very poor even £4 is overpriced. The centre hole is rough drilled so wool won’t run through it, the needle, the same. And the staples pull out of the top so easily as to be a hazard to small children. Poor quality.

Flower knitting doll
Flower knitting doll, seems a strange name, to teach what I learned was called “French knitting” as a child at home, even before I started school. (I used to have 4 nails hammered into an old wooden cotton reel, and used a double ended knitting needle or crochet hook to do this, but Health and Safety wouldn’t approve!)
It seemed rather “tacky” and expensive, for what it is, and might be better to let children decorate it themselves, if aimed at younger children, but does the job!

great for six-year-old
My granddaughter is generally not a patient child, but this little knitting dolly has been a fantastic hit. I also got her some pink DK yarn from Hobbycraft, and she learned quite quickly how to wrap the yarn round four pins, then take them off one by one. She then had to teach her parents, great fun. I added some rainbow yarn, and started winding the string into a coil to make a little mat. I hope she'll soon be ready to move onto two needle knitting. Well done, Hobbycraft!

Memories of great productive fun
Did this as a child then made things like mats , hats, blankets and scarves from the cord produced.
