Is this suitable for a lamp?
Really it depends what kind of lamp you are thinking. They look lovely with LEDs in for decorative purposes. If you're thinking of a table lamp, drilling glass for the cord is always tricky. You need to keep it all wet to try and keep the temperature down and prevent it breaking and no two bottles will act the same way.
