Fun but flimsy
Fun..but flimsy - I bought this for my dad who has dementia as we like to keep his hands and brain active. However some of the planets in the pack were damaged when I opened it. For my dad it wasn’t the end of the road, but for a child they’d probably be more disappointed

Not Terrible, Not Amazing
Bought this set for my young daughter who is fascinated by space. The instructions seemed relatively simple to follow, and for the most part they were. Connecting the wiring for the solar panel and battery to the main section is achieved by a rudimentary system whereby you push the wires against a contact point using a plastic plug, this required a couple of attempts to actually get them to connect properly and power the motor.
The planets themselves are all one colour of semi-transparent plastic, with the exception of the Earth which is two, though the opaqueness of the plastic means that you can barely distinguish between the two colours once together, so seems barely worth the effort.
Once assembled the mechanism works pretty simply, the planets on their arms can be rotated about the revolving central column to whichever alignment you want, but will then all revolve at the same speed, though you can't expect multi-geared differing rotation speeds with a set of this price.
Overall an ok set for a little one just starting out with their discovery of space and our solar system

Grandson disappointed part missing
Liked the kit but when my grandson opened it, part of mercury was missing. He is only 7 and very keen to find out more about the solar system. Shame really.

Really poorly made. We had problems putting parts together. So much, some broke. Poor instructions, too.
