Fantastic quick fix
I had a tear in a material which was incredibly lightweight, something a sewing machine or sewing by hand could not fix, as the hole kept getting bigger. I cut off an inch long section of the tape and placed it on top of the tear, I then ironed it on for a few seconds and it sealed the hole up as if it were brand new. Very impressed.

Brill product
Saved my expensive new jeans from ending up in the bin, as the hem started fraying. (My fault as I'd cut too short so only had enough material to make one turn up to hem!). The iron on tape has solved my problem & looks very neat. Don't see anything from outside. I just ironed it right over fraying edge.

Didn't survive first cold water wash...
I bought this to cover the hem on the inside of a skirt because my shoe buckle kept getting caught in the stitching, and it worked like a charm until the first time I washed the skirt in cold water - it peeled off completely. :(

Disappointing waste of time/money
Disappointing - I followed the instructions and ironed the mending tape onto my torn fabric. After about 5 minutes of use the tape started to peel off. As more peeled off it started flapping at the edges. In the end I peeled it off but it left its white hardened glue behind. A disappointing waste of money and time. I ended up buying some webbing fabric and sewing that over the ripped material instead.

Will not stick
Both my mother and I tried to fix knees in school trousers with this. Neither of us could get it to stick properly, my iron got 1 side to stick but as soon as my youngest put them back on, it came loose along the bottom. These were not gaping holes but thin tears so the bit cut off to iron on had plenty to stick onto and just needed to hold the edges together.
Waste of money.

It didn’t work
I bought this to mend a rip in a pair of cotton shorts. I followed the instructions which you can’t really get wrong. My reasonable expectation was that the product would fulfil its primary, and only, function of bonding two pieces of fabric together. Disappointingly, it didn’t.

Useful mending tape
Used to mend worn pocket on my son's trousers. Very useful tape. Took a couple of goes to get it to stick. However, I also sewed around it as I did not trust it to stick for very long. Strong material if a little stiff to use.
