There is a warning that it obviously needs the sewing machine to be magnetic - unfortunately it can’t be tried until it’s out of the packet, and the relevant part of my all metal machine is not magnetic (although the rest of it is. So please check your machine before buying - it sticks well in useless places! Back to coloured tape for me.

This is the best addition to my sewing machine! It stays exactly where you put it, so much easier to get a straight seam! I was worried it was going to get knocked off easily but it doesn’t. Especially useful for sewing long edges where a little bit off can become a long way at the end.

Just what I needed
Great little gadget for helping keep a straight seem allowance, I've only recently took up sewing again after about 30 years and this will be a great help.

Great little gadget.
This works really well. Strong magnet so it doesn't move while you are sewing. No more sticky tape on the footplate.

What a great gadget
Well I bought this for three pounds thinking it would not do much but.... It's amazing! Helps you to kepp an even seam allowance at the right distance. It even pivots for when you are going around a curved edge. Get one!

Straight to the point
This is an excellent addition for any sewing machine task. It sits, magnetically, on the sewing machine plate, along side the needle, and guides you to achieve perfectly straight hemline stitching. Like having a third hand. Great value for money. I would recommend

Keeps me on the Straight and Narrow
Have been considering one of these for a while. Works lovely on my brother machine and will help keep my quilted seams straight. Nice strong magnet too.
