Not watercolours. More like school paint
I bought this expecting watercolours, but what I ended up with were essentially school-grade pastel paints that pick up from the page when a new layer is put down. Layering next to impossible because of the aforementioned issue, but also the fact that the paint dulls and becomes near translucent when it dries. The colours themselves are really pretty and for a cheap set with so much variety, the lack of each colour is expected (that being, you go through them quite quickly). After some research, I found that this is a typical problem for the HIMI brand: cheap, lightfast, and overall poor quality. I wouldn't buy this set for anyone above the age of 12.

Water colours
I decided to try my hand at water colour painting, this is a great starter pack for a novice like me. Good quality paint and easy to use. A good price if you don't want to spend too much.

Good Pigment
As a beginner to watercolour painting this pallet is very nice, with a good range of pigmented colours. The only issue was that at home after collecting from store I found that some of the paints were loose and had come come out of the sections and one was broke in half. I was able to put them all back in place but not sure if this is due to poor handling in-store by staff or what as it was stored sideways in the shop. I didn't have time to go back as the store is not local and only one was broken but useable. If it was a gift I would have had to return it.
