There’s nothing better than receiving a handmade card, and Mother’s Day is the perfect occasion to make one. It’s the perfect way to show your mum just how much she means to you. This dimensional easel card is quick to make and it folds flat for posting, so you’ll be able to surprise your mum no matter how far apart you may be.

* Wooden Flower Embellishments
* Twine
* Alphabet Stamps
* Black Ink Pad
* Adhesive Foam Pads
* Tacky Glue
* Scissors
* Paper Scorer
* Ruler
* Pencil

How To Make

Step 1
To make the easel part of the card you will need two card blanks. Leave one whole and one cut and folded as follows. At the middle crease measure approximately 4.5cm and make another crease fold upwards creating a mountain fold then trim off the overhang.

Step 2
Fold a piece of kraft card into a v shape as shown in the photo then draw and cut out a cone, you will need to trim the bottom off to fit nicely into the crease of the easel card.

Step 3
Attach the cone to the front of the whole card blank and fill with wooden flowers fixing some in place with 3d foam pads and some with glue.

Step 4
Place the whole card over the top of the prepared mountain folded card and fix in place with double sided tape. Stamp out the sentiment onto white card then trim a small fishtail into each end before fixing to the very front of the easel.

Step 5
Fussy cut a small tag shape then fix a tiny red heart to the front, make a hole in the end and thread through a piece of twine – make a bow and glue to the front of the cone to finish.
