3 Ways to Use Washi Tape on Cards
Washi tape is one of our must-have craft supplies – it's just so versatile! From scrapbooks to decoration, it can be used on almost every project, but let's not forget the humble card. It's a great starting point for beginners to card making too; make simple shapes and patterns in bold colours and effects for an achievable but professional looking project.

How to make
1. Turn the white A5 card on its side. Take the first roll of washi tape and cut and stick strips to create the letter 'H' on the card.
2. Take the next roll of washi tape and create the letter 'E'.
3. Repeat to make 2 'L's with the remaining washi tapes.
4. Finally create an 'O' using the first roll of washi tape.
1. Take your first washi tape, select a length long enough to be able to read the phrase, and carefully rip and stick to the left hand side of your card.
2. Repeat the above with 3 other washi tapes, varying the height of your strips.
3. Use a black fineliner to add a wick and flame, and write your birthday greeting below.
1. Place the A5 kraft card horizonatlly on your work surface. Tear and stick strips of Friendly Words tapes on the front of the card.
2. Measure and cut a 2.5 x 2.5” square of white card and punch a heart shape in the centre. Discard the middle section.
3. Stick a foam square to each corner of the heart frame and stick over the washi tapes on the card.
4. Finish off by tying a bow on the heart frame using the green hemp cord.
