Place markers at each end of last row.


Work 12 rows more without shaping.


Work 29 [33:43] rows inc 1 st at each end of next and every foll 14th [16th:14th] row. 28 [31:34] sts.


Cont without shaping until back left leg measures 19 [21:25]cm, (7½ [8¼:9¾]in), from markers, ending with a ws row. **


Break off yarn and leave these 28 [31:34] sts on a stitch holder.

Right Leg:
1. Work as given for Back Left Leg to **.

Right-front Border

1. With rs facing, using three quarter mm needles and M, starting at front opening pick up and knit 80 [88:100] sts evenly along right front edge.


2. 1st Row. * P1, k1, rep from * to end. 1st row sets rib.

4. Next Row. Rib 5 [4:5], cast off 1 st, (rib 12 [14:16], cast off 1 st) 5 times,
rib 3 [2:3].

Left-front Border

Hood:

1. Join raglan seams. Using 4mm needles and M, cast on 21 [21:22] sts, with rs facing, using same needles and yarn, work across 18 [20:22] sts left on a stitch holder at back of neck as follows:- k2 [3:4], m1, (k2, m1) 7 times, k2 [3:4], cast on 21 [21:22] sts. 68 [70:74] sts.

3. Working in st-st (throughout) cont until hood measures 16 [17:18]cm, (6¼ [6½:
7]in), ending with a ws row.

Shape Top

1. Next Row. Cast off 23 [23:25] sts, k21 [23:23], cast off 23 [23:25] sts.


2. With ws facing, rejoin yarn to rem 22 [24:24] sts and purl to end.


3. Cont without shaping until hood measures 10 [10:11]cm, (4 [4:4¼]in), from cast off sts ending with a ws row.

Hood Border:

5. Cast off rem 7 [8:9] sts.

To Make Up:

Matching markers at lower edges of back right and back left legs with cast on edges of front legs, join inside leg, side and sleeve seams. Join front feet between markers to shaped instep edges of front legs. Join soles to front feet, front legs (between front feet and side seams) and shaped lower edges of back leg below markers. Placing ends of hood borders halfway across front borders, sew hood evenly in position to front of neck and across sleeve tops. Placing right over left, join front borders to 4 cast off sts at divide for front opening. Join side and cast off edge of 1 outer and 1 inner ear together. Sew ears in position on top of hood. Make a pom pom for the tail. Sew on buttons and attach tail. Pin out garment to the measurement given. Cover with damp cloths and leave until dry. See ball band for washing and further care instructions.
