How to Make a Jute Placemat and Coasters
Use twisted jute rope to create matching placemats and coasters, perfect for outdoor dining. The natural finish will effortlessly complement floral centrepieces and boho touches. Easy to make, they're a great finishing touch for your garden party spread.
The handmade table mat and coasters will also add stunning detail to outdoor wedding receptions and other celebrations!

How to make
Add a glue stick into your glue gun and heat up ready to use on the rope
Begin tightly swirling the rope around itself, using the glue gun to secure the rope in place as you work up to a coaster sized circle.
Place onto your hessian fabric and cut out a fabric circle the same size as your coaster, you can then attach this to back of your coaster to keep your spiral secure and rope flat.
For the Placemat you can repeat steps 1 and 2 but just make a larger circle shape.
You will also need to secure a backing piece of hessian onto the placemats to ensure that it sits flatly when dried.
