Difficulty Beginner
Budget £10 - £30
Time 1 hr +

Dress your house to impress this Halloween with this spooky ghost tree. All you need are a few essential components (which you may find you already have around the house) to make these ghoulish ghosts. If you don’t have a branch to hand you could always hang your ghosts in windows or in cupboards for an unexpected fright!

How to make

Cut a 24 centimetre square of muslin or similar lightweight material (note – the size of the material you use will need to vary depending on the size of polystyrene ball – It’s a good idea to carry out a trial run before starting your ghost.)
Top Tip! Give the wreath a completely different look by changing the colour of the felt. White would be great for weddings; red’s perfect for Christmas!

Wrap the material around the polystyrene ball, tying matching embroidery thread around the base of the ball to secure in place. (Alternatively, if you’re not handy with needle and thread, you could use a rubber band.)

Using a black felt tip pen draw your ghost face.

To hang the ghosts use a needle and invisible thread to run a loop of thread on the top of the ghosts head.
