Crochet Beret Pattern

Tip

Pull the foundation loop onto the head to make sure it is loose enough. If you have a larger size crochet hook that can be used for the foundation ch to achieve a looser hem otherwise remake it more loosely until the fit is comfortable.

Foundation Chain: Using a 4mm hook ch 100 sts loosely, sl st to first ch to make a loop taking care not to twist the ch.

Rnd 1: 1ch (counts as the first double crochet), dc into each ch to end, place a marker. 100 sts

The hat is worked in a spiral so the marker denotes the beg and end of each rnd. Move this up on each rnd to help you know where you are on each rnd.
