Step-1

Finished Size: To fit UK 10-12 (bust 36-40 inches)

Step-2

Instructions: You will crochet from the neck down to the bust: Ch 11, DC in the 3rd Ch from hook, DC across row (10 sts)

Step-3

Ch 2, turn. Work 2 DC in the 2nd st, work DC across until you have 2 sts remaining, work 2 DC in the next st and 1 DCin the final st (12 sts)

Step-4

Repeat Step 2, a further 19 times (50 sts)

Step-5

Ch 6, turn. DC in the 3rd Ch from hook, DC across row (55 sts)

Step-6

Repeat Step 4 (60 sts)

Step-7

Repeat Step 2, a further 2 times (68 sts)

Step-8

You will now increase to make the sides and back of the top:

Step-9

Ch 20, turn. DC in the 3rd Ch from hook, DC across row (87 sts)

Step-10

Repeat Step 7 (106 sts)

Step-11

Ch 2, turn. DC in the 3rd Ch from hook, DC across row. Repeat for a further 7 rows.

Step-12

Cut the yarn, and secure the final st. Weave in all ends.

Step-13

Join the yarn to the top corner of the neckline. Work 2 DC evenly along armhole edge of halter top.

Step-14

Ch 2, turn. *work 2 DC in first st, 1 DC in 2nd st; repeat from * until the end of the row.

Step-15

Ch 2, turn. *work 2 DC in first st, 1 DC in next two sts; repeat from * until the end of the row.

Step-16

Cut the yarn, and secure the final st. Weave in all ends.

Step-17

Repeat Steps 11-14 for the other side.

Step-18

You will now make the halter ties and back tie.

Step-19

Join the yarn to the top corner of the neckline on the wrong side, where the ruffle begins. Ch 40. Cut the yarn, and secure the final st. Weave in all ends. Repeat for the other side.

Step-20

Holding the yarn double, Ch 100. Cut the yarn, and secure the final st. Lace the chain through the back of the top, creating a criss-cross effect.
