This pattern is written using UK crochet terms.
This pattern is made by crocheting with two strands of yarn held together, and working in continuous rounds, unless otherwise stated.
Use a stitch marker in the first st of the round to help keep track of rounds, move the marker up each round.

How To Make

Step 1: Body

Using 2 strands of 'White' and 3.5mm hook, make a MC.
Round 1:  6dc in MC. (6dc)
Round 2:  2dc into each st around. (12dc)
Round 3:  2dc into each st around. (24dc)
Round 4: *3dc, 2dc in next st* rep around. (30dc)
Round 5: *4dc, 2dc in next st* rep around. (36dc)
Round 6-13: dc in each st around. (36dc)
Round 14: *dc2tog* three times, 24dc, *dc2tog* three times. (30dc)
Round 15: 11dc, *dc2tog* four times, 11dc. (26dc)
Begin to stuff with toy stuffing.
Round 16: dc in each st around. (26dc)
Round 17: 11dc, *2dc in next* four times, 11dc. (30dc)
Round 18: dc in each st around. (30dc)
Round 19: 10dc,* 2dc in next, dc* twice, *2dc in next* twice, *dc, 2dc in next* twice, 10dc. (36dc)
Round 20-22: dc in each st around. (36dc) 
Round 23: *dc2tog* twice, 28dc, *dc2tog* twice. (32dc)
Round 24: 32dc around. (32dc)
Round 25: 8dc, dc2tog,12dc, dc2tog, 8dc. (30dc)
Round 26: *3dc, dc2tog* rep around. (24dc)
Round 27: 24dc in each st around. (24dc)
Round 28: *2dc, dc2tog* rep around. (18dc)
Round 29: dc in each st around. (18dc)
Stuff firmly.
Fasten off leaving a long tail.


 

Step 2: Front Legs

Make one using 'Black' and one using 'White'.

Using a 3.5mm hook, make and MC.
Round 1:  6dc in MC. (6dc)
Round 2:  2dc in each st around. (12dc)
Round 3: dc in each st around.  (12dc)
Round 4: 3dc, *dc2tog* three times, 3dc. (9dc)
Begin to stuff with toy stuffing.
Round 5-14: dc in each st around. (9dc)
Fasten off leaving a long tail.

Step 3: Back Legs

The back legs are completed in 2 parts, make two of each part.

Part 1
Using 'White' and 3.5mm hook, make a MC.
Round 1: 6dc in MC. (6dc)
Round 2: 2dc in each st around. (12dc)
Round 3: dc in each st around. (12dc)
Round 4: 3dc, *dc2tog* three times, 3dc. (9dc)
Round 5-8: dc in each st around. (9dc)
Stuff firmly.
Using the front loops of Rd 8, Pull closed shut, and fasten off

Part 2
Using 'White' and 3.5mm hook, make a MC.
Do not stuff this section.
Round 1: 6dc in MC. (6dc)
Round 2: 2dc in each st around. (12dc)
Round 3: 2dc in each st around. (24dc)
Round 4: dc in each st around. (24dc)
Round 5: dc2tog, 8dc, *dc2tog* twice, 8dc, dc2tog. (20dc)
Round 6: dc2tog, 6dc, *dc2tog* twice, 6dc, dc2tog. (16dc)
Round 7: *dc2tog* rep around. (8dc)
Round 8: dc in each st around. (8dc)
Fasten off leaving a long tail.
Flatten this section by folding it along the decreases.
 

Step 4: Assembling the Back Legs

Sew 'Part 2' of the hind legs to 'Part 1' of the back legs between rounds 6-8.

Do not cut the remaining yarn after sewing. This will be used to sew the back legs to the body. 

Step 5: Tail

Using 'Rust' and 3.5mm hook, make a MC.
Round 1:  5dc into MC. (5dc)
Round 2:  2dc in each st around. (10dc)
Round 3-4: dc in each st around. (10dc) 
Round 5: *dc2tog, 2dc* twice, dc2tog. (7dc)
Round 6-10: dc in each st around. (7dc) 
Round 11: 3dc, change to 'White', 4dc. (7dc)
Continuing in white yarn
Round 12-17: dc in each st around. (7dc)
Round 18: *2dc in next, 2dc* twice, 2dc in next. (10dc)
Fasten off leaving a long tail.

Step 6: Ears

Make one in 'Black' and one in 'Rust'.

Using a 3.5mm hook, make a MC.
Do not stuff.
Round 1:  4dc into MC. (4dc)
Round 2:  2dc in each st around. (8dc)
Round 3: *3dc, 2dc in next* rep around. (10dc)
Round 4: *4dc, 2dc in next* rep around. (12dc)
Fasten off leaving a long tail.

Step 7: Head

Using 'White' and 3.5mm hook.
Round 1: 6dc into MC. (6dc)
Round 2: 2dc in each st around. (12dc)
Round 3: 2dc in each st around. (24dc)
Round 4: *3dc, 2dc in next* rep around. (30dc)
Round 5: *4dc, 2dc in next* three times, change to 'Rust' *4dc, 2dc in next* twice, change to 'White' 4dc, 2dc in next. (36dc)
Round 6: *5dc, 2dc in next* three times, change to 'Rust' *5dc, 2dc in next* twice, change to 'White' 6dc, 2dc in next. (42dc)
Round 7: 22dc, change to 'Rust' 12dc, change to 'White' 8dc. (42dc)
Round 8: 23dc, change to 'Rust' 10dc, change to 'White' 9dc. (42dc)
Round 9: 24dc, change to 'Rust' 8dc, change to 'White' 10dc. (42dc)
Round 10: 25dc, change to 'Rust' 6dc, change to 'White' 11dc. (42dc)
Round 11: 24dc, change to 'Rust' 4dc, change to 'White' 12dc. (42dc)
Continue the remaining rounds in 'White'
Round 12-14: dc in each st around. (42dc) 
Insert safety eyes between round 9-10, 6 stitches apart.
Round 15: *5dc, dc2tog* rep around. (36dc) 
Round 16: *dc2tog* rep around. (18dc)
Round 17: dc in each st around. (18dc)
Fasten off.

Step 8: Collar

Using a single strand of 'Pink' and 3mm hook.
Row 1: Ch30. (30dc)
Row 2: dc in 2nd Ch from hook, dc in each ch across. Ch1 and turn. (29dc)
Row 3: dc in each st across. (29dc)
Fasten off leaving a long tail.
Sew the bell on stitch 15 of row 3.

Step 9: Assembling the Head

Attaching the Ears
Pin the ears on either side of the head between rounds 4 & 8. The ears should be about 7 stiches away from the eyes. 
The black ear should be placed on the side of the head with the rust-coloured patch.
Once you’re happy with the positioning, Sew the ears onto the head. 

Attaching the Nose and Mouth
Using a double strand of black yarn and a yarn needle, sew the nose between Round 11 &12, 3 stitches wide, making sure the nose is centred between the eyes.
Sew the mouth from the middle of the nose down to Round 13. 

Step 10: Assembling the Body

Front legs
Sew the front legs from round 18-20 on the body. The leg made from black yarn should be on the left-hand side if the cat is facing you.

Hind legs
Sew the hind legs on either side of the body as positioned in the picture.

Tail
Sew the tail from round 5-8 of the body centred between the hind legs.

Head
Using the long tail from the body, sew the head to the body ensuring its facing forward. Sew the collar onto the neck so the bell is centred in the middle.

Step 11: Finished Cat

Your amigurumi cat is now complete!
