Head

Head
Using 'Green' and 3mm hook, make a MC. Stuff firmly as you go along.
Round 1: 6dc into MC. (6dc)
Rnd 2: 2dc in each st around. (12dc)

Eyes (make 2)
Using 'Green' and 3mm hook, make a MC.

Rnd 5-7: Dc in each st around. (18dc)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for attaching to the head.
Insert the 6mm safety eyes between rnds 5 and 6. 
Stuff firmly.

Assembling the Head
Pin the eyes on either side of the head between rnd 3 and rnd 10 and then sew them in place. 

Mouth
Using a yarn needle and black yarn, sew on the mouth between rnds 11-13, approximately 10 stitches wide.

Body

Using 'Green' and 3mm hook, make a MC.
Stuff firmly as you go along.
Rnd 1: 6dc into MC. (6dc)
Rnd 2: 2dc in each st around. (12dc)

Note: The body should be stuffed firmly enough that it can stand on its own. This ensures that the frog is stable once the arms and legs are sewn on.

Arms: Part 1

The arms are made with bendable floristry wire inserted in them.
For each arm, wrap 3 strands of the floral hobby wire with the green flower tape to make a thicker wire.

Then bend each end of the wire inwards wrapping the ends with flower tape. The fully taped wire should measure 9 cm long.
 

Arms: Part 2

The arms are crochet in 2 parts: the palms and the rest of the arms, then the two are joined together. Make two of each. 

Part 1 - Palms
Using 'Green' and a 3mm hook, ch4, leaving a long tail for attaching to the arms.
Row 1: Starting from the 2nd ch from hook, 2dc in each ch across. Ch1 and turn. (6dc)
Row 2: Dc in each st across. Ch1 and turn. (6dc)
Row 3: *2dc, 2dc in next* rep across. Ch1 and turn. (8dc)
Row 4: Ch 3, skip one stitch and slst into the next stitch, slst, ch2, tr, ch2, slst x 2, ch3, skip one stitch and slst into the last stitch. 
Fasten off.

Part 2 - Rest of the Arm
Using 'Green' and 3mm hook, make a MC.
Stuff lightly as you go along. 
Rnd 1: 6dc into MC. (6dc)
Rnd 2: In BLO, *2dc, 2dc in next* rep around. (8dc)
Rnd 3: *3dc, 2dc in next* rep around. (10dc)
Rnd 4 - 6: Dc in each st around. (10dc)
Rnd 7: *4dc, dc in next* rep around. (12dc)
Rnd 8 - 10: Dc in each st around. (12dc)
Rnd 11: *3dc, dc in next* rep around. (15dc)

Close the arm by squishing it together and 6dc across. (6dc)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail that will be used to attach the arms to the body.

Legs: Part 1

Fasten off.

Part 2 - Rest of the Leg
Using 'Green' and 3mm hook, make a MC.
Stuff lightly as you go along. 
Rnd 1: 6dc into MC. (6dc)
Rnd 2: In BLO, *2dc, 2dc in next* rep around. (8dc)
Rnd 3: *3dc, 2dc in next* rep around. (10dc)
Rnd 4 - 7: Dc in each st around. (10dc)
Rnd 8: *4dc, 2dc in next* rep around. (12dc)
Rnd 9 - 12: Dc in each st around. (12dc)
Rnd 13: *3dc, 2dc in next* rep around. (15dc)
Rnd 14 - 15: Dc in each st around. (15dc)
Rnd 16: *3dc, dc2tog* rep around. (12dc)
Rnd 17: *dc2tog* four times, 4dc. (8dc)
Rnd 18 - 19: Dc in each st around. (8dc)
Rnd 20: *2dc in next* four times, 4dc. (12dc)
Rnd 21: *3dc, 2dc in next* rep around. (15dc) 
Rnd 22 - 33: Dc in each st around. (15dc)

Assembling the Legs
Using the long tail from row 1 of the foot sew the feet onto the front loops left on rnd 2 of the rest of the leg.

Assembling the Body

Arms
Sew the arms on either side of the torso, pointing a bit forward. They should be attached on to rnd 32 of the body, 4 stitches apart. 

Legs
Sew the legs between rnd 7 and rnd 8 on either side of the body, about 14 stitches apart, the legs should be on the outside of the arms.

Head
Sew the head onto rnd 33 of the body making sure it is facing forward.

Note: When the arms and legs are attached the bent legs should rest on the outside of the arms, to enable the frog squat properly.

Your Frog is now complete!

Lily Pad

Use two strands of yarn to make the lily pad, one strand of 'Green' and 'Bright Green' and 3.5mm hook. Make a MC.
Rnd 1: 10tr into MC. (10dc) 
Rnd 2: 2tr in each st around. (20tr)
Rnd 3: 2tr in each st around. (40tr)
Rnd 4: *tr, 2tr in next* rep around.
Turn your work, ch3.
Rnd 5: Starting from the 4th chain from the hook, *tr2tog* three times, *2tr, 2tr in next* five times, 9tr, *2tr, 2tr in next*, 9tr, *2tr, 2tr in next* four times, *tr2tog* twice, tr. (64tr)
Turn your work, ch3.
Rnd 6: Starting from the 4th chain from the hook, *tr2tog* twice, htr, dc, slst. (5sts) 
Fasten off.

Making Up
Position the frog on the lilypad as desired and stitch in place using a yarn needle.
