How to Crochet Pumpkins
These crochet pumpkins will look great in your home throughout Autumn and they can be reused each year! Using WI Premium Acrylic you can hook up a group of these pumpkins in no time.
They would make a great centre piece for your table or just dotted around the house. Follow our simple, and free, pattern to get making!

Dc- Double crochet
Ss- Slip stitch
St – Stitch
Dec2tog – Decrease 2 stitches together
Notes:
Before starting please divide yarn A into 2 balls as you will be working with 2 ends throughout the pattern
Yarn A - orange
Yarn B - black
Using 2 ends of yarn A and 5mm hook start with a magic loop, 6dc.
Round 1: 2dc into next st, 6 times (12sts)
Round 2: (1dc, 2dc into next st) 6 times (18sts)
Round 3: (2dc, 2dc into next st) 6 times (24sts)
Round 4: (3dc, 2dc into next st) 6 times (30sts)
Round 5: (4dc, 2dc into next st) 6 times (36sts)
Round 6: (5dc, 2dc into next st) 6 times (42sts)
Round 7 – 16: 42dc.
Round 17: (5dc, dec2tog) 6 times (36sts)
Round 18: (4dc, dec2tog) 6 times (30sts)
Round 19: (3dc, dec2tog) 6 times (24sts)
Round 20: (2dc, dec2tog) 6 times (18sts)
Round 21: (1dc, dec2tog)6 times (12sts)
Add stuffing
Round 22: Dec2tog, 6 times (6sts)
Round 23: Dec2tog, 3 times (3sts)
Fasten off leaving a long tail. This will become the base of the pumpkin.
Using 4mm hook and yarn B, ch4 and join into the round with a SS.
Round 1-5: 1ch, 4dc, ss into 1st dc. (4dc)
Round 6: 1ch, dec2tog, twice, ss into 1st dc. (2dc)
Fasten off.
Using a darning needle and 1 end of yarn from the tail, insert needle into the centre of the top of the pumpkin and pull through to the bottom of the pumpkin. Pull tight and secure with a knot using the other end of the tail that is not in use. Repeat this 7 more times, leaving you with 8 sections creating the pumpkin shape

Round 1: 2dc into next st, 6 times (12sts)
Round 2: (1dc, 2dc into next st) 6 times (18sts)
Round 3: (2dc, 2dc into next st) 6 times (24sts)
Round 4: (3dc, 2dc into next st) 6 times (30sts)
Round 5: (4dc, 2dc into next st) 6 times (36sts)
Round 6- 11: 36dc.
Round 12: (4dc, dec2tog) 6 times (30sts)
Round 13: (3dc, dec2tog) 6 times (24sts)
Round 14: (2dc, dec2tog) 6 times (18sts)
Round 15: (1dc, dec2tog)6 times (12sts)
Add stuffing
Round 16: Dec2tog, 6 times (6sts)
Round 17: Dec2tog, 3 times (3sts)
Fasten off.
Round 1-5: 1ch, 4dc, ss into 1st dc. (4dc)
Round 6: 1ch, dec2tog, twice, ss into 1st dc. (2dc)
Fasten off.

Round 6: 1ch, dec2tog, twice, ss into 1st dc. (2dc)
Fasten off.
