How to Decorate Fillable Wooden Letters

If you're an avid follower of interior trends you may have noticed that decorated letters are big for 2015. Fillable letters in particular are proving incredibly popular, not only to have displayed around the home, but they also look great at weddings filled with fresh flowers, or illuminated with fairy lights.

Never one to miss out on an opportunity to get my craft supplies out, I've been experimenting with different ways of using the letters. Here are four quick and easy projects to get you started . . .

Pom Pom Letter Step-1

Start by painting all of your letters using your chosen paints. You may need to do more than one coat to get a nice even coverage, make sure to leave the first coat to dry before applying the next one.

Step-2

Once the letters are dry fill in sections of the interior of the letter with a layer of tacky glue and stick down the pom poms, make sure the pom poms are fitted snuggly next to one and other.

Step-3

Continue working in sections until the entire interior of the letter is covered in pom poms.

Glitter Letter Step-1

Start by spray painting all of your chosen letters. You may need to do more than one coat to get a nice even coverage, make sure to leave the first coat to dry before applying the next one.

Step-2

Once the letters are dry fill in the interior of the letter with a layer of tacky glue and sprinkle gold glitter over the glue.

Step-3

Leave for 30 minutes or so and then tap any excess glitter out onto paper.
