Step 1

Carefully untie and remove the hanging string. Paint the front and side of the heart with the base colour and leave to dry.

Step 2

Print off the template and trace over the back of the paper with a pencil. This can be done on a lightbox or against a window. Cut the templates out to align easily to the wooden heart. With a pencil gently scribble over the back to transfer a light pencil version of your design onto the surface.

Step 3

Start by painting the spine shapes of the dinosaurs. Add white to lighten the colours to create the paler tones for the bodies. Use lighter and darker shades of the colours to fill in the other sections of each dinosaur. Paint over the wording in your desired colour.

Step 4

Once dry, reattach the hanging string.
