To create a double boiler, fill a saucepan with about 5cm of water and place a metal jug of wax beads on top.
Put the saucepan on the hob over medium heat. As the water heats up, the wax will gently melt, providing indirect and controlled heat. Stir the wax occasionally until it becomes liquid.
Top Tip: Please be careful with hot wax as it can cause burns.

Take three wicks and carefully dip the wick sustainers (the metal bits) into the melted wax.
Secure the wicks at the bottom of your glass jar.
Allow the wax to set and hold the wicks in place.

Working quickly, divide the remaining wax into three separate containers, such as paper cups.
Add wax dye to each container and mix well. For a pastel colour, use about 6 drops of dye, for a brighter shade, use roughly half the bottle.

Pour the three coloured waxes into the flower mould, filling each section halfway.
Let the wax set for a few minutes, then top up each section with a different colour. If necessary, re-melt the wax to maintain its liquid state.

While the wax flowers are setting, weigh out 500g of wax and melt it in a double boiler, as done previously.
Once melted, carefully pour the wax into the candle jar.

Use wick holders or pencils to hold the wicks straight and in place.
Allow the candle to harden.
Then, cut the wicks down to 1.5 cm.
